So far my wife and I have been there twice, once each for breakfast and lunch and both times were stellar. We intend to visit often! The food is truly exceptional with generous servings and fresh ingredients. For lunch I had the Rueben sandwich and my wife had the Monte Cristo. As you can see in the pictures, they were stuffed with ingredients. The chocolate toffee pie was a religious experience! Jim and Jodie are very friendly and accommodating. The place it self is quaint and inviting. There are two dining rooms. If you look around there are many interesting and quirky things which Jim delights in telling you about. There is also a gift shop on site which is located in a yurt right beside the main building. We Highly recommend The heart and Soul Café.

I am a bit of a breakfast junky and must say this place has THE BEST BREAKFASTS in Ottawa hands down! Their eggs benedict are the BOMB. Even the salad dressing and potatos are chef level quality....i am so lucky to be living 5 minutes from this place! A
This place is an absolute gem for brunch lovers! The waffles were perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, topped with fresh strawberries, bananas, and blueberries.. The eggs Benedict had an amazing hollandaise sauce, and the fresh salad was a great touch. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted incredible. The portions were generous, and the service was warm and friendly. Definitely coming back for more!

This place is SO cozy and cute!! It’s run by these lovely people that make you feel like you’re dining at home! We had breakfast here and everything was delicious and fresh. Really recommend the peameal, it was so tasty! Heart and Soul Special breakfast is such a good deal and was very filling. The pancakes were in this cute heart shape but were more on the salty side. The cream that came with it was out of this world We also ordered tarditional benedict and that was also very tasty! Loved the vibes, the interior, coziness, and of course our wonderful servers! Will definitely come back!
I’ve always wanted to try this place out and it was worth it. The homemade salad dressing and the heart shaped pancakes accompanied as a side with our Breakfast Eggs Benny was top notch. The owners are very attentive and the food is amazing. Worth a trip out here for those looking for country charm.
Tracy, Jim and Jody were so amazing and sweet. They had answered any questions I had and they loved to chat. This restaurant definitely makes you feel at home. The fruit plate and the bagels were awesome and the hot chocolate is so tasty. I will definitely be back!
